The SIDIG-MED team has organized for the local women in Tal Al-Rumman a visit on 29/12/2015 to the project’s site at the Royal Botanic Garden located in Tal Al- Rumman, to be introduced to the project’s achievements at the site. This visit comes as an emphasis on the importance of involving and partnering with the local accordingly to the guidance of the founder, HRH Princess Basma bint Ali. The field visit included a tour to our small permaculture farm in the pilot site to view our products and explained the methods and techniques implemented. The project adopts permaculture practices for production, where no chemicals, fertilizers or pesticides, are used. It also adopts biological control of insects, as well as crops diversity in the field. As a token of appreciation, the SIDIG-MED team handed out some of the fresh products of the day to the ladies.
